Silly #1. “I don’t need a custom closet system.”
Wow. I said that. Was I crazy?
Before designing and installing them became my business, I never thought I wanted a custom closet organizer system. Comparing the contents of my closet to the closets of many of my female friends, I don’t have many clothes.
I loathe clothes shopping. Given a choice between clothes shopping and housework – I’ll take housework and I really dislike housework. I like to shoe shop but I mostly window shop when I do. I have only ten pairs of footwear, two of which are work boots and one of them double as my boots for the bike.
Very few new clothes come in. I kept a few things from my office job for go-to-a-funeral-wear. The only things I have that I consider fancy are two long coats. I have mostly just what is necessary for the things I do now; work with hubby and ride on the back of the motorcycle. I have work clothes, bike clothes, and some “good” jeans and tops for going out to casual places for dinner.
By nature I’m very frugal and practical. Why would I need such a fancy thing as a closet organizer?
Silly #2. “Fine, we can practice on my closet but I really don’t need this.”
Yup – certifiable.
Now that I have my very own absolutely beautiful, perfect, custom-designed-just-for-me closet organizer system let me tell you, I was wrong. I was SO wrong.
